Glassware display
This was a project that I oversaw from start to finish, partnering with a senior visual merchandiser to develop a creative direction. We established a consensus that clear glass presents challenges in regards to displaying the product in a way that is visible and inspiring. We made the decision to support merchandising with photography in so that we could use scale, light, and color to present a collection of glassware in a way that was highly visible and attractive. We brought a photographer onto the project and I functioned as art director and stylist for the shoot. Once the graphic solution was finalized, I had the task of planning for each local store solution. Small signs on wooden clipboards were used to describe the function and benefits of each individual glass.
The large graphic is intended to attract visitors' attention from a distance and bring them in to the back wall where they can interact with individual glass displays
The project was initiated following a business need identifying lower than expected sales results in glassware. Onsite analysis showed that the glassware displays on the back wall, being small and transparent were difficult to see. Customer flow studies confirmed that the back wall was not attracting customers.
