
I'm Stephen, a design leader with over fifteen years of experience shaping brand storytelling, creative direction, design strategies and systems. I lead by example—staying hands-on with design not only helps me support my team but also gives me a deeper understanding of their challenges.
Currently, I head an in-house design team at TerraCycle, where we develop digital marketing campaigns, UX/UI for web and mobile, print materials, and product design solutions for recycling collection. Our work makes sustainability more accessible by rethinking people's relationship with waste.
Before that, I played a key role in shaping the IKEA brand in the U.S., focusing on how design influences customer behavior in both digital and physical retail spaces. Throughout my career, I’ve championed design solutions that bridge commerce and sustainability, helping brands create more responsible consumer experiences.
I believe great design is as much about language as it is about visual content—how words and imagery work together to communicate ideas with clarity and impact. At the heart of my work is the goal of crafting experiences that resonate, whether through design, storytelling, or innovation, and creating solutions that connect with people in meaningful ways.
